Steve Wells has been involved with submarine cable systems for nearly 40 years and studied mechanical engineering. He also holds a postgraduate Masters in Business.
He worked in research and development for submarine systems for over 25 years, and was a key engineer in burial technology, optical repeater terminations, optical jointing and optical fibre packaging.
Mr. Wells was Head of Operations for Marine Engineering and Maintenance at British Telecom with the responsibility of European and Far Eastern permits. He was also Director of Global Fibre Networks at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and was instrumental in numerous successful projects. Steve has been involved with over 30 international submarine cable systems.
